Choose Your Gecko Glue
Different water temperatures need different wax. Start with a good basecoat, then use the wax that suits the conditions.
Tropical Wax
For hot water and serious tropical conditions. Best for 24°C and above, when normal wax starts behaving badly.
Warm Wax
A stickier option for warm water around 20–24°C. Good when you want a slightly softer feel under your feet.
Basecoat Wax
The first layer. Builds the bumps and gives your top coat something to grip onto. Boring but important, like sunscreen.
How to Use It
A good wax job is simple, but it makes a big difference. Don’t just rub a tiny bit in the middle of the board and hope for the best.
Apply a firm base layer first. This gives the wax pattern some shape and helps the top coat last longer.
Choose the top coat that suits the water temperature and rub it over the base until you get a good textured grip.
Add a light top-up before your next surf, especially if the board has been sitting in the sun.
